Week #30 due 2/2/2014
Dear Emotional Sobriety Workshop Members:
Thank you for everyone’s participation and sharing this Sunday.
During our meeting we took the third step and read the Step 4 Emotional Sobriety OA worksheet.
For next week, the goal is to:
1. Share on our interpretation of the words of step 4.
Below are the links for that document in a word document and a pdf file:
2. Read the flow sheet for Step 4
3. Read and share on the differences and similarities between Step 4, 10 and 11.
This is something that I came across about the difference between Steps 4, 10 & 11:
4. Time permitting, I would like us to read and share on Step 4 in the AA 12&12.
Format for Step 4: In this workshop, we are going to share and listen to 1 resentment, fear and sex/harm inventory worksheet using the BBA format for each group member. We will take turns listening to each other as a 5th step. So, one person will share their inventory and another person will listen and give feedback.
The goal is to get more comfortable doing the 4th step inventory using the BBA step 4 inventory worksheet. The best way to learn something is to teach it to others!
So, please start to write one new resentment or choose an old one that you are willing to share with the group. To protect everyone’s privacy and prevent gossip, avoid identifying the person by name. If you do not have a resentment towards anyone, please consider writing a 4th step inventory on a principle or institution.
If possible, I would like everyone to choose and write an alternative 4th step inventory. Then, I would like people to compare and contrast their experience between the 2 different Step 4 inventories. There are many different types of 4th step inventories. I am not including them in this week’s homework assignment for the sake of simplicity and brevity.
During this step, there will be no recording or playback information posted on the blog. Everyone is reminded to maintain each other’s confidentiality and privacy during this vital step.
If you are unable to attend for any reason or you would like to hear the meeting again, please email me privately at email@example.com.
