This week we continued our work on Step 12. We read and completed the first part of the Step 12 in AA Big Book on a spiritual awakening.

We also read The Little Red Book on “carrying the message” and began reading and discussing Step 12 in the AA Big Book.

Here is the link for what I also read to the group on “How do you know if you are having a spiritual experience?”

Next week, I would like us to continuing reading the sections out of the AA Big Book on “carrying the message.”

The homework for Step 12 is to read and highlight the sections in the AA Big Book Chapter 7 “Working with Others” from page 89 to 103 and write on what you highlight.

Whereas when we did the BBA, we wrote on the questions that we were provided, this time, we will have our own personal experience of what the AA Big Book means to us personally.

Every time before you begin doing any part of the reading or writing, remember to say the “Set Aside Prayer” and bring your spiritual awareness of God, as you understand Him, into this process.

The last 3 steps are the heart and soul of emotional sobriety: living in the solution, seeking conscious contact with the God of our understanding and carrying the message to those who still suffer.

Please feel free to read the handouts to share your thoughts with the group.

Looking forward to “seeing” you all next week!

With blessings for peace and recovery,

Shira

Peace: it does not mean to be in a place where there is no trouble, noise, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart.”(author unknown)
