Summary of our meeting this week: Step 12

compassion

Dear Emotional Sobriety Workshop Members:

Thank you for everyone’s participation and sharing this Sunday. A special thank you to Esther for leading the meeting!!!

Unfortunately, the meeting was only recorded for 20 minutes.

As it is so short, I have not yet saved it to media fire and uploaded onto the blog.

During our meeting this past week, we completed “To Wives” and read from the book “The 7 Key Principles of Successful Recovery” by Mel B. and Bill P.

One group member requested that next week we highlight some of what we gained from the chapter.

In addition, with the group’s consent, I would like us to read from the Unpopular Guide on Step 12. Our discussions recently have let me to a deeper understanding about Step 12 as compassionate action. This book, which is available on-line discusses Step 12 from this particular perspective.

Here is a link to a copy of the Unpopular Guide as a pdf file:

Please review it and share your thoughts.

Thank you all for sharing your experience, strength and hope.

Together we can do what we can never do alone.

I am so grateful to be sharing this journey with all of you!

With blessings for recovery and peace,

Shira
