img_4355Hi Everyone!

Thank you for your participation and sharing during our meeting this week.

The telephone conference numbers for our group are:

Telephone conference number: (712) 775-7031 Access Code: 397-681-282

Playback recording number is: (712) 775-7029 Access Code: 397-681-282#

Playback reference number: 9

Since we do not have a lot of storage available on the telephone conference line, recordings through the phone line will only be available for 1 week.

To listen to a meeting that is older than 1 week, please go to the Recordings 2017 tab of the blog to get access to the link to the media fire account.

As a reminder, our group takes place on Sunday mornings at 5:30 AM EST.

Please join us as we “trudge the Road of Happy Destiny.” (AA Big Book 164:3)

This week, we read “Tips On Sponsoring” and discussed how to sponsor.

After that, we returned to our regular group format of reading the AA Big Book.

We read and discussed the story The Missing Link.

Our homework is to write on:

What is the difference between religion and spirituality?

How can this knowledge help my recovery and program?

Next week, we will read Step 2 in the OA 12 & 12, and guide our discussion using the UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO THE TWELVE STEPS by Dr. Paul O.

Notes from our meeting:

Sponsorship is a tool. We can only share up to the level we are at. We do not need to be perfect, we only need to be committed, willing, open-minded and honest.  In fact, if we feel like our program is not as strong as we would like it to be, the best thing that we can do is to be of service and help carry the message to another person who is still sick and suffering in the rooms.

While following our food plan is about focusing on what is going into our mouth, recovery is also being mindful and aware of what is coming out of our mouth.

I am so grateful to be sharing this journey with all of you!

Thank you all for sharing your experience, strength and hope.

“Together we can do what we can never do alone.”

In love and service,
