Dear Emotional Sobriety Workshop Members:

Thank you for everyone’s participation and sharing this Sunday.

The New Conference Dial-in Number: 712-432-1212

ID: 649-886-071

Playback recording number: 712-432-1219

Playback reference number: 3.

As a reminder: I spoke to customer support, and we are able to join the meeting on-line, without using a telephone by clicking on the meeting wall link on the invitation and downloading the application onto your desktop.

This week, we continued reading and sharing on Step 8 and 9.

We read through the Step 8why worksheet and read and shared on the Little Red Book page 80, PP 1. We are continuing our discussion on forgiveness, making amends and acceptance.

As was discussed, we do not make amends so that the person will like us. We also do not make amends while the other person is still hurt by our behavior. We make amends to right a wrong.

There will be no meeting for the next 2 weeks, due to the religious holidays.

Our next meeting will be October 26, 2014.

Next meeting, I would like to read the worksheets sheets on Step 8 and Step 9 and discuss how to make amends.

We can continue reading from The_ Big_Workbook,The Little Red Book or the AA 12 & 12, depending on the group’s interest.

Previously, we read up to page 142/76-77 in The Bigworkbook/AA Big Book.

Worksheets for Steps 8 and 9 are posted on the blog.

The spiritual principles of these steps are accountability, responsibility and forgiveness.

We will adjust our format as we go through the step. “More will be revealed.”

The pace of the workshop is speeding up.

“We will be amazed before we are halfway through!”

Please feel free to read the handouts to share your thoughts with the group.

Looking forward to “seeing” you all next week!

With blessings for peace and recovery,

Shira
