Summary and Playback Recording Links From Our Meeting Last Week

step12

Dear Emotional Sobriety Workshop Members:

Thank you for everyone’s participation and sharing! Sorry for the delay in sending this out. It has been a hectic week. Although we had initially planned on cancelling the meeting, some people expressed a desire to meet tomorrow morning anyway. Depending on the group’s interest, we will continue with our reading of the Big Book The Family Afterward or do another off-topic meeting.

This week we continued our work on Step 12, in our new format on “The Principles and Promises of Step 12 in the AA Big Book.”

We read and discussed the chapter “The Family Afterward” up to 131:3.

We also read and discussed one of the recent blog postings on equanimity and compared it to the 4 Absolutes.

The homework is to read and highlight the sections in the AA Big Book Chapter “The Family Afterward” and write on what you highlight.

I copied the questions from the site BBstudygroup.com as a word document in columns. I printed it up and then added the questions directly into my AA Big Book.

Here is the link for the document:

I find that it helps me focus my reading of the text.

Thank you all for sharing your experience, strength and hope.

Together we can do what we can never do alone.

I am grateful to be sharing this journey with all of you!

Looking forward to “seeing” you all next week!

With blessings for recovery and peace,

Shira
