During the holiday, I spent the long car ride reviewing Steps 6 and 7. The spiritual principle of Step 7 is humility.

I was curious about “what does it mean to be humble?” In the book, Ramban: A Letter For The Ages, I came across this description on the qualities of a humble person.  I thought it was helpful and practical.

1. Gentle speech
2. Acceptance of obstacles and good fortune with grace
3. Respectful: sensitive to the feelings and honor of other people
4. Forgiving of others
5. Self-restraint with words and deeds
