This week we had a great discussion about how to create a food plan and be abstinent.

We cannot recover without being abstinent first. Therefore, we need to surrender to a food plan, and admit we are powerless over the food and that our lives have become unmanageable.

We then read and discussed a recent comment on selfishness and our core character defects.

We also quickly read through the 4 Absolutes Pamphlet on Absolute Love. This way, hopefully as a group we will be able to begin to do the homework.

The homework is:

“What does it look like in your life when you are Absolutely Loving? Write out a vision for yourself….”.

Originally, my plan was for us to share on the homework and read from the story The Professor And The Paradox, which is from the AA Big Book, first edition.

However, given our discussion this week, is there an interest in continuing our discussion on abstinence?

There is a lot of literature on the OA website, and I thought it might be helpful to revisit this important topic.

The plan for our group is to divide our time between doing the steps and reading from the stories in the AA Big Book.
